Shield Joins Historic Israeli Tech Delegation at GITEX 2020 in Dubai to Present the Future of Financial Regulatory Technology Solutions

This week we took part in a historic Israeli delegation that was the first to visit the GITEX Technology Week Live 2020 in Dubai, from 6th – 10th December 2020. Following the momentous bilateral agreement between Israel and UAE earlier this yearthe Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and the Israel Export & International Cooperation Institute (IEI) were jointly presenting the inaugural UAE-Israel Future Digital Economic Summit’ at the 40th anniversary of GITEX, and Shield took a key part of the Beyond Business Fintech Delegationled by Bank Hapoalimone of Israel’s leading banks.

Eran Noam, Chief Business Officer at Shield was a key member of the Israeli delegation visiting GITEX in Dubai. He commented, “I was honored to be representing Shield and joining other key technology providers, business leaders and government officials as part of this momentous and truly historic visit. We had an exciting opportunity to meet with potential customers and investors, to present the best and brightest technology and innovation, and to create long term partnerships in a shared transformative digital future.”

By implementing the strictest of health precautions, GITEX 2020 was the only tech and startup show in the world taking place in-person this year It provided a rare opportunity for visitors to hear from the ministers, policymakers, tech and business leaders of both UAE and Israel who shared their joint vision and ambitions. It also provided the perfect introduction to Israel’s startup ecosystem, to forge new business collaborations and network with the first and largest business, tech and investor delegation that flew in from Israel to Dubai.

Eran met with local financial institutions about the benefits of deploying Shield’s AI-Powered, Communications Compliance Platform, which helps regulated financial institutes to manage and unfold the risks, fraud and misconduct behaviors that arise within its employees communications.

Eran added, “Not only was this event historic, but it was also an exciting opportunity for Israeli tech providers to introduce their technology to potential customers and partners in a nation that is a world leader in adopting innovation and creating some of its own. Shield is a prime example of the advanced FinTech and RegTech technology being developed in Israel, and it is perfectly placed to address the needs of financial firms across UAE and beyond. With political boundaries having made trading difficult in the past, there is enormous potential for Israeli technology providers like Shield to offer our cutting-edge solutions to a whole new audience, and to work together to deliver considerable benefits to the market and suppliers alike. I am looking forward to building new partnerships and to engaging with new customers – these are exciting times.
