Rafael has spent the bulk of his 20+ year career with Financial Markets technology providers such as Bloomberg and IPC Systems, within senior international Business Development, Marketing, and Product Management roles. In the last 4 – 5 years, in particular, Rafael has focused on the design and delivery of solutions relating to new data-focused regulations such as MiFID II and the GDPR. This has included massive legacy data migration projects for tier-one global banks, long-term data and metadata archiving software solutions and advisory work to SMEs for the GDPR.
Previous blogs from Shield have addressed how important it is in the age of data regulations to take demonstrable control over enterprise data. New requirements are still emerging, so those who thought that MiFID II, GDPR and PECR were items to be checked off a list and then forgotten about are misguided.
